Spring Camporee at Fire Island

This weekend we attended the camporee at Fire Island. The camporee was hosted by troop 246, and 206 helped out a lot. Bill and Marty Leavitt were as helpful and generous as ever, and this camporee could not have been possible without them. The camporee had a tenderfoot station, 2 second class stations, 2 first class stations, and leader training. These classes gave scouts opertunities to fulfill their advancement requirements, and more then a dozen leaders walked away as trained leqaders. Of course Fire Island was the highlight of many scouts weekend, and we thank Bill and Marty for letting us utililize their land. If you were not their, you missout on a great time. It was a fun weekend, and we can't wait to return to Bill and Marty's beautiful land.
